FORT WORTH, Texas — Xavier Edmonds delivered a career-best performance when TCU needed it most, powering the Horned Frogs to an 84-82 comeback victory over Kansas State on Saturday night.

Edmonds poured in 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, extending his double-double streak to five games and helping TCU erase an early 18-point deficit. The Horned Frogs (10-5 at home) leaned on a strong second-half push to secure their fourth straight win over Kansas State, trimming the Wildcats’ all-time series lead to 21-15.

TCU found itself in a deep hole midway through the first half, trailing by as many as 18 points with just over seven minutes remaining before halftime. The Horned Frogs gradually chipped away behind Edmonds’ presence in the paint and a dominant rebounding effort that shifted momentum. TCU finished with a commanding 40-25 edge on the boards, continuing a trend that has fueled success under head coach Jamie Dixon. The Frogs improved to 12-1 this season when winning the rebounding battle and 152-45 during Dixon’s tenure.

The rally marked one of the largest comebacks during Dixon’s time at TCU, trailing only two previous 20-point turnarounds.

Kansas State generated offense early, matching TCU’s season-high for points allowed in a half by scoring 46 before the break. The Horned Frogs responded with improved defensive discipline after halftime, limiting fouls and matching a season low with just 10 personal fouls as a team.

Micah Robinson provided a spark off the bench with 16 points, his 12th double-digit outing of the season. David Punch added 14 points, continuing his consistent scoring production, while Pierre delivered 10 points, including eight in the second half as TCU completed its comeback.

Brock Harding directed the offense with six assists and added nine points, connecting on three shots from beyond the arc to match his season high.

Edmonds’ five consecutive double-doubles mark the longest stretch by a TCU player since Kenrich Williams accomplished the feat during the Horned Frogs’ 2017 postseason run. Edmonds also became the first player in program history to record five straight double-doubles during conference play.

TCU returns to action Tuesday night when it hosts No. 7 Iowa State. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. with coverage on FS1.
