DALLAS — The Dallas Stars are stacking wins and doing it in dramatic fashion.
Jamie Benn scored with 22 seconds remaining in regulation to seal a 5–4 victory over the St. Louis Blues at American Airlines Center, extending Dallas’ winning streak to six games — its longest stretch since winning seven straight from March 22 to April 3, 2025.
The surge now stands tied for the 10th-longest streak in franchise history, and Tuesday’s win added another late-game chapter to Dallas’ recent success against St. Louis. The Stars have now beaten the Blues three straight times with a game-winning goal in the final 90 seconds of regulation.
Benn powered the comeback effort with a three-point performance, scoring twice and assisting on another goal. His game-winner also carried historic weight, marking the 408th goal of his career. That total ties Ray Ferraro for the second-most goals ever scored by a fifth-round draft pick in NHL history, trailing only Alexander Mogilny.
Jason Robertson added a milestone moment of his own, netting the 200th goal of his career. The forward became the first player from the 2017 NHL Draft class to reach the mark and the 12th skater in Stars franchise history to score 200 goals with the club. Robertson needed just 431 games to reach the milestone, the second-fastest pace in team history.
Matt Duchene continued his strong offensive run, finishing with a goal and an assist to extend his point streak to six games. Duchene has collected eight points during that stretch while reestablishing chemistry alongside Benn.
Young forward Mavrik Bourque also found the back of the net, scoring his 11th goal of the season and already matching his rookie total from last year in 16 fewer games. Bourque now has four points in his last four outings.
Dallas’ supporting cast continued to drive production. Mikko Rantanen recorded an assist to extend his helper streak to five games. Miro Heiskanen delivered two assists and now has 10 helpers across his last nine games, while Roope Hintz added an assist and has eight points in his last eight contests. Thomas Harley chipped in with an assist, extending his point streak to three games while helping Dallas control play at five-on-five.
Despite the win, Stars head coach Glen Gulutzan stressed the importance of tightening up late-game execution.
“I thought we were very good through two periods,” Gulutzan said. “We got a little loose in the third and that cost us, but there’s determination in this group. You saw that on the winning goal.”
The locker room message echoed accountability mixed with confidence as the Stars head into the Olympic break riding momentum.
“We don’t want to give up goals like that,” Benn said. “But finding ways to win and getting two points is what matters. There’s always something to improve, and we’ll be ready for the push when we come back.”
With six consecutive wins and clutch scoring becoming a pattern, Dallas enters the break playing some of its strongest hockey of the season.
