FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys waived cornerback Trevon Diggs on Tuesday, ending the former All-Pro’s tenure with the franchise ahead of the regular-season finale.
Diggs, 27, burst onto the scene with an NFL-leading 11 interceptions in 2021, but injuries and uneven availability in recent seasons limited his impact. Dallas had signed him to a long-term extension in 2023, yet roster needs and cap considerations helped drive the late-season move.
Dallas now turns the page in its secondary, while Diggs will move to waivers with the opportunity to land elsewhere as teams prepare for the offseason.
