Stars Take Care of Business Against Maple Leafs

DALLAS — The Dallas Stars paired elite goaltending with flawless special teams to earn a win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night at American Airlines Center.

Jake Oettinger anchored the effort as Dallas went a perfect 4-for-4 on the penalty kill, extending its streak to three straight games without allowing a power-play goal. The Stars have now killed 10 consecutive penalties during that stretch.

Offensive balance again defined the night, with 14 different skaters recording a point for the second straight game. Jason Robertson scored his first career goal against Toronto, completing goals against all 31 NHL teams and marking his 49th of the 2025 calendar year — second most in franchise history.

Esa Lindell posted two assists to extend his point streak to three games, while Mikko Rantanen continued his success against the Leafs. Roope Hintz reached the 500-game milestone, and Oskar Bäck appeared in his 100th NHL contest.

“You never want to waste a goalie performance like that,” head coach Glen Gulutzan said. “Jake held us in there when we needed him.”

“It’s complimentary hockey,” Robertson added. “Everyone was involved, and that’s how we’re winning games right now.”
