DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks delivered one of their sharpest performances of the season, beating the Houston Rockets 122–109 to even the season series. Dallas shot a season-best 59.8% from the field, converting 49 of 82 attempts—its most efficient outing since last December.
The Mavericks overwhelmed Houston with pressure, forcing 20 turnovers and turning them into a season-high 34 points, one of their best totals in the play-by-play era. Dallas also dominated inside, scoring 74 points in the paint, tied for the ninth-most by any team this year.
All five starters scored in double figures for the fifth time this season.
Anthony Davis led the way with 29 points on 14-of-19 shooting, while Brandon Williams added 20 off the bench for his sixth 20-point game with the Mavericks. Cooper Flagg finished with 19, extending his streak of 15-plus-point performances to five straight. PJ Washington returned from an ankle injury with a strong defensive effort, recording five steals.
Ryan Nembhard continued his steady play as a starter, now averaging 14.8 points and 6.8 assists since joining the lineup on Nov. 28 with only eight total turnovers in that span.
Houston was led by Kevin Durant’s 27 points, followed by Jabari Smith Jr. with 22 and Aaron Holiday with 19. Despite 14 offensive rebounds from their starters, the Rockets couldn’t keep pace with Dallas’ efficiency and pressure.
