DALLAS — The Stars tightened their grip on one of the NHL’s hottest runs, beating the San Jose Sharks 4–1 to stretch their point streak to nine games.
“We stuck with it,” head coach Glen Gulutzan said. “The penalty kill in the third was the difference.”
Dallas went 4-for-4 on the kill, pushing its streak to 25 straight and seven games without allowing a power-play goal.
“It gives us momentum,” Justin Hryckowian said.
Jason Robertson opened the scoring with his 18th of the season, passing Bobby Smith for 12th on the Stars’ all-time goals list. Mikko Rantanen posted a three-point night—his 200th career multi-point game—while Wyatt Johnston added two assists.
Sam Steel delivered the game-winner in the third, and Miro Heiskanen sealed it with an empty-netter.
“Our structure held up, and we found a way,” Steel said.
San Jose stayed close but failed to capitalize on late chances.
“We had opportunities, but nothing came from them,” Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky said.
Dallas has now earned a point in 21 of its last 23 games.
