FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — No. 8 TCU continued its dominant start with a 95–40 blowout of UTEP, extending its home winning streak to 31 games and its nonconference home streak to 41 straight.
The Horned Frogs’ defense was suffocating again, holding their 10th straight opponent under 65 points and keeping UTEP below 36% shooting. Opponents are now hitting just 29.4% against TCU — the best mark in the nation.
Paige “PK” Miles headlined the night with her seventh career triple-double, extending her NCAA-record streak of 10 straight 15-point, five-assist games to open a season. Maddi Scherr led the team in scoring and retained her NCAA-best assist-to-turnover ratio, committing no turnovers.
TCU piled up 27 assists, hit 14 threes, and had four players in double figures, improving to 30-1 when reaching that benchmark. Adela Bigby, Sedona Suarez, Clara Silva, Donovyn Hunter, Veronica Sheffey and Taliyah Parker rounded out a balanced effort.
The Frogs return Dec. 14 to host Jacksonville in the middle of a five-game homestand.
