DALLAS — Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg was named the Kia Western Conference Rookie of the Month for October and November after a standout start to his NBA career.
Flagg averaged 16.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 20 starts, leading the league in clutch field-goal percentage and ranking fourth in clutch scoring.
The 18-year-old No. 1 pick made history with a 35-point game against the Clippers — the youngest player ever to do so — and became the youngest to record double-digit assists the previous night against the Lakers.
He enters December ranking top two among rookies in points, rebounds, assists and steals, cementing himself as one of the league’s most impactful newcomers.
