FRISCO, Texas — Trevon Diggs took a major step forward this week, returning to practice for the first time since tearing his ACL early last season.

Dallas will monitor how he responds over the next few days, and team staff indicated he has a real shot to be cleared for Sunday night’s matchup against the Detroit Lions. His return would bolster a secondary that has relied heavily on DaRon Bland and Jourdan Lewis while preparing for one of the league’s most efficient offenses.

The Cowboys have until game day to activate Diggs to the roster.
