DALLAS — Wyatt Johnston’s hat trick powered a dominant 6–1 Stars win over the Ottawa Senators on Sunday, closing out a record-setting month at American Airlines Center.

Dallas (17-5-4) earned its 11th victory of November—the most in franchise history—and finished the month with 62 goals, another club record. The Stars controlled the pace throughout, holding Ottawa to just 16 shots.

“This was probably our most complete game of the year,” coach Glen Gulutzan said. “When our goaltending, power play, penalty kill, and 5-on-5 all click, we’re tough to beat.”

Johnston added an assist for his second four-point game this season, and his 12th power-play goal gives him the NHL lead. Jason Robertson scored in his 400th game, passing Kyle Connor on the U.S.-born goals list through 400 career games.

“Our power play has been rolling,” Robertson said. “It gives us momentum, and when we defend like that, everything opens up.”

Mikko Rantanen had three assists, extending his point streak vs. Ottawa to seven games.

Senators coach Travis Green pointed to special teams as the difference. “You can’t take four penalties here and expect to win,” he said.

The Stars head to New York next.
