LOS ANGELES — The Dallas Mavericks used a dominant rookie performance and a veteran shooting burst to erase a late deficit and defeat the Los Angeles Clippers 114–110 on Saturday night.
Cooper Flagg posted a career-high 35 points on 13-of-22 shooting and added eight rebounds, carrying Dallas for much of the night. Klay Thompson capped the comeback with 17 points in the fourth quarter, including four made threes and the go-ahead bucket in the final two minutes.
Naji Marshall contributed 18 points and eight rebounds, while Brandon Williams provided 14 points and seven assists as the Mavericks halted a three-game slide.
Up next: Mavericks visit the Denver Nuggets on Monday.
