DALLAS — The Mavericks leaned on depth and late-game poise to slip past Portland in a 138–133 overtime shootout, improving to 8–2 in their last 10 against the Trail Blazers.

Dallas got scoring from everywhere—seven players hit double figures for the second time this season, and all five starters reached 10+ points for the first time. The Mavs also caught fire from deep, knocking down 15 threes at a season-best 44.1%, and controlled the interior with a 62–56 paint advantage.

Cooper Flagg headlined the night with a career-best all-around performance: 21 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 blocks. At 18, he joins only LeBron James and Tracy McGrady as teenagers to post a 20-5-5 game.

Daniel Gafford powered his way to 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks, continuing one of the strongest starts of his career. P.J. Washington Jr. matched Flagg with 21 points, including a season-high five threes, while Max Christie extended his double-digit scoring streak to 12 games and hit a three for the 14th straight contest. Brandon Williams added 15 points and another six-assist outing.

Portland kept it close behind Shaedon Sharpe’s 36 points and Deni Avdija’s 29, but Dallas’ depth and late execution sealed the win.
