Anthony Davis Nearing Return as Mavericks Monitor Recovery

DALLAS — The Mavericks may be getting a key piece back soon. Anthony Davis, sidelined for the past eight games with a left calf strain, has shown encouraging progress during his latest check-in with team medical staff.

While he’s not cleared just yet, the Mavs will take another look in about a week to 10 days as he continues working through his recovery plan. The team expects to provide the next update once he’s re-evaluated, but the early signs point toward a steady climb back to the floor for the veteran big man.
