FORT WORTH, Texas — TCU had No. 6 Michigan on the ropes for most of Friday night, but a late surge from the Wolverines sent the Horned Frogs to a 67–63 loss in front of 6,426 fans at Schollmaier Arena.
The Frogs (2–2) looked energized from the opening tip, leading for nearly 28 minutes and pushing the highest-ranked nonconference visitor to Fort Worth since 2003. But Michigan’s dominance on the glass—outrebounding TCU 44–23—proved decisive. The Frogs’ 23 boards were their fewest in almost two years.
Despite the loss, TCU showed flashes. Freshman guard Brock Harding delivered 15 points, six rebounds and four assists, continuing his streak of leading the team in distribution. Micah Robinson added 10 points and hit a three for the fourth straight game, while Tanner Toolson chipped in 10 off the bench.
TCU remains strong historically at home under Jamie Dixon, but Friday’s finish served as a reminder: against a top-10 opponent, every possession—and every rebound—matters.
