FORT WORTH — TCU cruised to a 104-63 win over Saint Francis Thursday night at Schollmaier Arena, fueled by a sharp shooting display and dominant rebounding.
Transfer guard Tanner Toolson scored 25 points on 8-of-11 shooting, including 4-of-5 from three, as the Horned Frogs (1-1) drained 12 triples and never trailed.
Micah Robinson notched his first career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, helping TCU control the boards with a 48-22 advantage.
David Punch added 11 points, eight rebounds, and four blocks, while Xavier Edmonds filled in for the injured Malick Diallo with 12 points and nine boards.
The Frogs shot 85.7% from the line (24-of-28) and led 53-29 at halftime before stretching the margin to as many as 49 in the second half.
Saint Francis (0-2) was led by Skylar Wicks’ 18 points.
All 15 TCU players saw action, with freshmen Kayden Edwards and Ashton Simmons recording their first collegiate points.
The Frogs return home Monday to face Lamar at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
