DALLAS — A four-assist night from Miro Heiskanen and two power-play goals from Wyatt Johnston weren’t enough as the Stars fell 7–5 to the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday.
Dallas led 2–0 early but gave up four goals in a disastrous second period. Anaheim capitalized on turnovers and rush chances, outskating the Stars the rest of the way.
Heiskanen matched a career high with four assists, while Johnston posted his second straight three-point game. Despite the loss, Dallas’ power play stayed sharp, converting three times.
Head coach Glen Gulutzan pointed to costly mistakes:
“We start forcing things. You’ve got to stop that momentum quicker than we did.”
The Stars (7–4–3) will regroup Friday at Comerica Center before trying to tighten up defensively in their next outing.
