ARLINGTON, Texas — Marcus Semien has been named the 2025 American League Gold Glove winner at second base, becoming the first player in Rangers history to earn the honor at the position.
The 35-year-old posted a career-best .996 fielding percentage with just two errors in 493 chances, leading AL second basemen in defensive runs saved (5) and ranking third in outs above average (7).
It’s Semien’s second career Gold Glove, his first coming in 2021 with Toronto. He’s the 18th different Ranger to win the award and the team’s first since 2023.
Other Texas finalists — Jacob deGrom, Corey Seager, Wyatt Langford, and Adolis García — were not selected.
Semien will be honored alongside fellow winners at the Gold Glove ceremony in New York on November 7.
