Stars Fall in Shootout to Panthers

SUNRISE, Fla. — The Dallas Stars rallied late but fell 4-3 in a shootout to the Florida Panthers on Saturday night.

Mikko Rantanen tied the game with under three minutes left, while rookie Justin Kyrckowian netted his first NHL goal and Wyatt Johnston scored seconds later on the power play. Sam Steel added a career-high three assists.

Jake Oettinger stood tall in overtime, but Sergei Bobrovsky denied all three Stars in the shootout to secure Florida’s win.

Dallas returns home to face Edmonton on Tuesday at American Airlines Center.
