DALLAS, Texas — Jake Oettinger stopped all 24 shots he faced as the Dallas Stars blanked the Washington Capitals 1-0 Tuesday night at American Airlines Center.
Tyler Seguin scored the lone goal on a second-period power play, extending his point streak against Washington to four games. The Stars have now scored on the man advantage in four straight contests and have earned points in four consecutive games.
Dallas tightened up defensively, limiting second chances and clearing the crease for Oettinger, who earned his 13th career shutout and sixth straight win over the Capitals. Rookie defenseman Lian Bichsel added eight hits to match his career high.
“We had to win the hard way — tight checking, good special teams, and solid goaltending,” head coach Glen Gulutzan said.
The victory was the Stars’ first 1-0 win since April 2023 and extended their home streak over Washington to four.
