DALLAS — The Mavericks couldn’t overcome a late push from the Oklahoma City Thunder, falling 101-94 at home.

Dallas’ defense held OKC to its lowest point total of the season and just six made threes, while committing a season-low nine turnovers against one of the league’s most disruptive defenses.

Anthony Davis led the way with 26 points and 11 rebounds, extending his streak to four straight 20-point double-doubles — the first Maverick ever to open a season that way. Max Christie added 14 points with four made threes in his first start, and P.J. Washington Jr. scored 15 for the fourth straight game.

Chet Holmgren powered the Thunder with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks, while Ajay Mitchell added 17 points and seven boards.
