LOS ANGELES, CA — The Dallas Stars fell 4–3 in overtime to the Kings but extended their strong run against Los Angeles earning points in nine of their last 11 meetings (7-2-2).
Dallas struck twice on the power play for the third time this season — one of only three NHL teams to do so that often. Wyatt Johnston led the charge with a goal and an assist, tying Roope Hintz and Mikko Rantanen for the team lead with eight points.
Hintz tallied two assists, while Rantanen added another, pushing his career total against the Kings to 42 points in 31 games — fifth-most among active players. Jason Robertson, back in his home state, scored a power-play goal and now averages 1.42 points per game versus L.A., the best mark in the league.
Lian Bichsel set a career high with eight hits, and Thomas Harley helped generate 15 scoring chances at even strength while allowing just two.
Dallas didn’t get the win, but they continue to rack up points in tight matchups.
