VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Oct. 18, 2025) — FC Dallas (11-12-11, 44 points) is heading back to the postseason after a gritty 2-1 road win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC on MLS Decision Day, clinching the seventh seed in the Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs.

Head coach Eric Quill, in his first season, praised his team’s determination. “We knew what was at stake and it took a warrior effort,” Quill said. “I’m proud of how the guys responded when the pressure was on.”

Osaze Urhoghide opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a header off Patrickson Delgado’s corner, his second goal of the season. After Vancouver equalized, Kaick delivered the game-winner in the second half off a Sam Sarver assist—Sarver’s first in MLS and Kaick’s second game-winning goal of the year.

“It’s what every player dreams of,” Kaick said. “Helping the team reach the playoffs means everything.”

Sarver, making his first start, also drew a red card early, setting the tone for Dallas. The club’s homegrown core shined, with seven former North Texas SC players featuring in the win.

Goalkeeper Michael Collodi summed it up: “It’s been a long season, but we found a way. Now it’s time to make a run.”
