Stars Drop Second Straight in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS — The Dallas Stars’ early-season momentum hit another snag Saturday, falling 3-1 to the St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center.

Dallas, once 3-0, has now dropped two straight and failed to score first for the first time this season.

Wyatt Johnston generated several prime chances, but Blues goalie Jordan Binnington shut the door with key glove saves in both the second and third periods. Mikko Rantanen finally broke through late with a redirection to make it 2-1, but St. Louis sealed the win with an empty-netter.

Jake Oettinger stopped 19 shots for Dallas, which now looks to regroup back home.
