DALLAS, TX – Dallas Trinity FC dropped a 3-1 decision to Club América Femenil in the inaugural State Fair Clásico at the Cotton Bowl, drawing a record 22,838 fans—the largest crowd ever for a pro women’s sporting event in Texas.

Club América dominated early, with goals from Sarah Luebbert (34’), Bruna Villamala (39’), and Annia Mejia (45’). Dallas’ Sealey Strawn scored in the 70th minute, but it wasn’t enough to mount a comeback.

It was amazing to put one in the net and see all those fans,” Strawn said.

Halftime featured competitive eater Joey Chestnut devouring 114 Crab & Mozzarella Arancini, the fair’s 2025 “Best Taste – Savory” winner.

Charlie Neil, Trinity FC President, added: “This isn’t just a moment, it’s a movement.

Dallas Trinity FC returns to league play Nov. 2 vs. DC Power FC at 4:00 p.m. CDT at the Cotton Bowl.
