SALT LAKE CITY — Anthony Davis powered the Dallas Mavericks to a 114-101 road victory over the Utah Jazz on Monday night, leading the way with 25 points in the team’s preseason matchup.
Dallas found its rhythm early behind Davis’ dominant play in the paint and steady defensive presence. Naji Marshall provided a big spark off the bench, chipping in 17 points and energizing the second unit as the Mavericks controlled the tempo throughout.
While it’s still preseason, Dallas’ balanced attack and veteran leadership from Davis offered a glimpse of what could come once games start to count.
Up next, the Mavericks remain on the road and take on the Los Angeles Lakers Wednesday night.
