LOS ANGELES, CA – FC Dallas’ eight-game unbeaten run came to an end as the team fell 2-1 to LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park. The night turned early against Dallas when Logan Farrington received a red card in the 16th minute, forcing the team to battle with 10 men.
Samuel Sarver returned to the lineup and immediately made an impact, assisting his first MLS goal just seven minutes after entering. Anderson Julio scored his sixth goal of the season in the 52nd minute, giving Dallas hope, but it wasn’t enough to earn a point.
Head coach Eric Quill remains positive: “They fought like warriors and didn’t deserve what happened. We have to pick ourselves up and remember we’re still alive in this race.”
Dallas’ playoff fate now hinges on Decision Day. They’ll visit Western Conference leaders Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. CT, with a playoff spot still on the line.
