CLEVELAND — Jack Leiter struck out 10 and allowed two runs over seven innings as the Texas Rangers beat the Guardians 7-3 Friday. Alejandro Osuna’s three-run homer in the first helped Texas jump ahead early.
Kyle Manzardo’s two-run homer cut the deficit, but Cleveland couldn’t rally, dropping back-to-back games for the first time since Sept. 2. The Guardians remain tied with Detroit atop the AL Central, with a magic number of two to clinch a playoff spot and/or the division.
