LEXINGTON — Dallas Trinity FC suffered a tough 6-1 loss on the road Friday night against Lexington SC, marking their second defeat in a five-game away stretch.
Down 2-0 early, Sealey Strawn got DTFC on the board in the 24th minute off a long ball from Amber Wisner. “Amber played an amazing ball,” said Strawn. “At that point, it was shoot or nothing.”
Lexington added a third before the break, and the match unraveled after a 58th-minute red card to Samar Guidry left Dallas a player down. “We had early chances and didn’t take them,” said head coach Chris Petrucelli. “It went downhill from there.”
Now 3-2-1, Dallas remains atop the Gainbridge Super League standings. They close out the road trip Oct. 12 at Spokane before hosting Club América Femenil in the State Fair Clásico on Oct. 18.
