Stars Hold Off Wild 3-2 Behind Strong Night from Core Trio

DALLAS — The Stars’ veteran firepower was on full display Tuesday night as Dallas held off the Minnesota Wild, 3-2, at American Airlines Center in preseason action.

Mikko Rantanen opened the scoring with a slick finish in tight, followed by Jason Robertson burying one off a perfect feed to give the Stars a 2-1 edge heading into the third. But it was Tyler Seguin, wearing the familiar No. 91, who delivered the dagger—snapping home the go-ahead goal midway through the final frame to put Dallas in front for good.

The Wild pushed late, but Dallas locked things down defensively in the final minutes to secure the win.

With the regular season around the corner, the Stars are showing early signs of chemistry among their top lines—an encouraging sign for a team with serious playoff aspirations
