CHICAGO — The Dallas Cowboys couldn’t keep up in the Windy City, falling 31-14 to the Chicago Bears on Sunday to drop to 1-2 on the season.
Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams lit up the Dallas defense, tying his career high with four touchdown passes and guiding Chicago to 385 total yards. The Cowboys had no answers for his accuracy or poise.
Dallas moved the ball well but couldn’t finish drives, going just 1-for-4 in the red zone. Missed chances piled up, and the Bears made them pay for it.
Dak Prescott completed 31-of-40 passes for 251 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. One of those picks wasn’t on him—George Pickens had the ball bounce off his hands and into a defender’s arms. Prescott’s lone touchdown came on a second-quarter throw to Pickens.
The Cowboys also lost star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb to an ankle injury in the first quarter. He did not return, and his status moving forward remains uncertain.
