FORT WORTH, Texas — TCU closed the book on the Iron Skillet rivalry in style, defeating SMU 35-24 in front of a sellout crowd of 43,333 at Amon G. Carter Stadium. The Horned Frogs now lead the all-time series 54-43-7.
Quarterback Josh Hoover threw for a career-high five touchdowns and 379 yards, his second straight 300-yard game. Wide receiver Eric McAlister exploded for 254 yards and three scores—the second-most receiving yards in a game in TCU history.
TCU totaled 517 yards of offense and extended its scoring streak to 410 straight games, the second-longest in NCAA history. Joseph Manjack added his first touchdown as a Horned Frog, extending his reception streak to 30 games.
The Frogs have now won seven straight and shift focus to Big 12 play.
