PHOENIX, AZ — The Rangers’ postseason push gained more steam Monday night as Texas rallied past Arizona 7-5 in 10 innings for their sixth straight win.
Alejandro Osuna, batting just .149 on the season, delivered a two-run single in the 10th to cap the comeback. His line drive deflected off reliever Juan Burgos, allowing Michael Helman and Ezequiel Duran to score and break the 5-5 tie.
Down 5-3 entering the ninth, Jake Burger—fresh off the IL—jumpstarted the rally with an RBI triple. Cody Freeman followed with a game-tying single and also hit a two-run homer earlier.
Chris Martin picked up the win in relief, and Shawn Armstrong locked down his sixth save.
Texas now sits just 1.5 games behind Seattle in the AL Wild Card race.
Arizona’s Ketel Marte and Geraldo Perdomo homered off Patrick Corbin, who gave up five runs over 5.2 innings. D-backs outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. left with a leg injury in the sixth.
