ARLINGTON, TEXAS – The Texas Rangers’ recent momentum at Globe Life Field came to a halt Saturday night as Philadelphia rallied for a 3-2 victory, handing Texas its third straight home loss.
Jacob deGrom was sharp through six scoreless innings, with his fastball reaching 98 mph, but the seventh inning saw the game slip away. Three consecutive Phillies reached base, capped by Max Kepler’s two-run double that flipped the lead. Bryson Stott added an RBI single, securing the comeback and a tough-luck loss for deGrom despite his 13th quality start of the season.
Corey Seager kept the Rangers’ offense alive with a solo homer in the eighth inning — his 17th of the year — and Wyatt Langford opened the scoring early with an RBI single. However, Texas went 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position, unable to push across the key runs when it mattered most.
The loss drops Texas to 2-3 on their homestand, with one more game remaining against Philadelphia before they face Arizona. After an impressive eight-game winning streak at home just last week, the Rangers now face the challenge of snapping their longest home skid of the season.
