FORT, WORTH, TEXAS — Bud Clark is the backbone of TCU’s secondary heading into 2025. The All-Big 12 free safety, and one of the last players from the 2022 national runner-up team, announced his return in January. Over 30 starts, Clark has racked up 158 tackles, 24 pass breakups, and 11 interceptions, proving to be a key playmaker.

With new safeties coach Tre Watson on board, Clark’s leadership will be vital as the Horned Frogs aim to keep their pass defense among the Big 12’s best. Alongside him, strong safety Jamel Johnson returns, but Clark remains the heart of the defense and a player to watch this season.
