ARLINGTON, Texas — The Rangers couldn’t complete the sweep, falling 3-2 to the Yankees in Wednesday’s finale at Globe Life Field. The loss snapped an eight-game home win streak and gave New York the season series.
Jack Leiter allowed one earned run in 3.1 innings, while Hoby Milner delivered 2.2 scoreless frames in relief. Sam Haggerty and Marcus Semien each drove in a run, but Paul Goldschmidt’s pinch-hit homer in the seventh proved decisive.
Ezequiel Duran stayed hot with three hits. Texas (60-56) now shifts focus to a weekend series vs. the Phillies.
