ARLINGTON, TEXAS — The Dallas Wings came up just short of a signature win Wednesday night, falling 90–86 to the defending champion Las Vegas Aces in a tightly contested battle.
A’ja Wilson proved unstoppable, finishing with 37 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Aces. Dallas pushed late, but cold shooting and Las Vegas’ second-half physicality proved too much to overcome.
Out of halftime, the Wings struggled to find a rhythm, getting outscored 25–11 in the third quarter. Head coach Chris Koclanes credited the Aces’ energy shift as a key turning point.
Paige Bueckers paced Dallas with 20 points, 8 assists, and 3 rebounds, continuing her standout rookie season.
Following the WNBA All-Star break, the Wings return to action on Tuesday, July 22, facing the Seattle Storm on the road. Tip-off is set for 9 PM CDT.
