INDIANAPOLIS — The Dallas Wings couldn’t recover from a second-quarter collapse, falling 102-83 to the Indiana Fever on Sunday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Paige Bueckers led Dallas with 21 points, four rebounds, and four assists, while Li Yueru added 16 points and five boards — marking consecutive double-digit scoring games for the first time in her career. JJ Quinerly contributed 13 points in her fifth straight start.
The Wings stayed within a point after the first quarter but were blitzed by Indiana’s offense in the second. A 33-9 Fever run buried Dallas before halftime, with Natasha Howard and Aliyah Boston combining for 17 of Indiana’s 36 points in the period. Caitlin Clark orchestrated the attack with 14 points and 13 assists, helping the Fever build a lead as large as 29.
Dallas finished strong, but the damage was done. Kelsey Mitchell led Indiana with 20 points as the Fever moved above .500.
Now 6-16, the Wings return home July 16 to host Las Vegas before the All-Star break
