ANAHEIM, Calif. — Marcus Semien torched Angels pitching with a four-hit performance as the Texas Rangers rolled to an 11-4 win Thursday night at Angel Stadium, earning a split in the four-game series.
Semien set the tone early, collecting three hits and scoring twice in the first three innings. Texas broke the game open with a seven-run third, capped by a two-run single from Corey Seager.
Patrick Corbin (6-7) held steady on the mound, striking out six across five innings. Lefty Jacob Latz provided a strong bridge, allowing just one run over 3 1/3 innings in relief.
Adolis García added late fireworks with a two-run homer in the eighth — his 11th of the season — while seven different Rangers tallied RBIs in a 13-hit outburst.
The Angels missed an early chance to strike when Mike Trout grounded into a double play and Taylor Ward was thrown out at home in the first. From there, things unraveled. Jack Kochanowicz (3-9) was chased after giving up eight runs in under three innings.
