CHICAGO — Li Yueru turned in her strongest outing of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to lift the Dallas Wings past the Chicago Sky, who completed a 3-0 season sweep with an 87-76 win Wednesday night at Wintrust Arena.

Despite another shorthanded lineup missing Arike Ogunbowale, Maddy Siegrist, and DiJonai Carrington, the Wings battled early behind a balanced rookie-heavy starting five. Paige Bueckers dropped 17 to keep her double-digit scoring streak alive, and JJ Quinerly chipped in 16.

Dallas briefly surged ahead in the third quarter thanks to Yueru’s back-to-back buckets, but the Sky responded with a decisive run led by Rebecca Allen, who finished with a game-high 27 points. Rookie sensation Angel Reese added 15 points and 11 rebounds for Chicago.

The Wings clawed back within six late in the fourth but went cold down the stretch, missing their final six shots. Dallas shot just 36% from the field and was out-rebounded 40-31.

Now 6-15 on the season, the Wings wrap up their road trip Sunday at Indiana. Tip-off against the Fever is set for noon on ABC.
