ARLINGTON, Texas — The Rangers lost a 12-inning thriller to the Mariners, 7-6, dropping their fourth straight at home and falling to 1-6 against Seattle this season.
Texas used eight pitchers and turned five double plays — their most since 2022 — but couldn’t overcome Miles Mastrobuoni’s go-ahead RBI single in the 12th. The game marked their third extra-inning contest in the last 12 games after none through the first 70.
Nathan Eovaldi returned from the IL but lasted just 3 innings, giving up 3 runs. Adolis García drove in three, including a game-tying sac fly in the 10th. Corey Seager homered in the 1st — all eight of his HRs this season have been solo shots.
Former Mariner Sam Haggerty tied it in the 7th and reached base three times. Marcus Semien added an RBI double and is hitting .340 over his last 25 games.
Seattle improved to 6-1 vs. Texas in 2025, powered by Julio Rodríguez’s 3-hit night and Jorge Polanco’s two-RBI effort.
The series continues Saturday in Arlington.
