ARLINGTON, TEXAS — The Rangers dropped their second straight game to the Royals on Wednesday night, falling 6-3 at Globe Life Field and losing a home series to Kansas City for the first time since 2014.
Texas grabbed an early lead but couldn’t hold it, as Patrick Corbin surrendered four runs in the third inning—snapping his 12-start streak of allowing three or fewer. Kansas City’s Maikel Garcia delivered the big blow with a three-run homer and later added an RBI triple.
Wyatt Langford stayed hot for the Rangers with three hits, including two doubles. Adolis García and Sam Haggerty each chipped in with multi-hit nights, while Marcus Semien extended his hit streak to 10 games.
Kansas City starter Kris Bubic worked through traffic to earn the win despite allowing nine hits. The Royals have now won consecutive games for the first time in a month and will go for the sweep Thursday.
Texas will try to bounce back in the series finale and finish the homestand with a winning record.
