Oilers Roll Past Stars 6-1, Take 2-1 Series Lead

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Oilers overpowered the Dallas Stars 6-1 in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final on Sunday, grabbing a 2-1 series lead.

Zach Hyman and Connor McDavid each scored twice, with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins chipping in three assists. Evan Bouchard and John Klingberg also scored for Edmonton, which has now won two straight after dropping Game 1.

Stuart Skinner stopped 33 shots for his fourth win of the playoffs. Dallas’ lone goal came from Jason Robertson, while Jake Oettinger made 18 saves in a rough outing.

The Stars played without forward Roope Hintz, sidelined after taking a slash in Game 2. Game 4 is Tuesday in Edmonton.
