Oilers Blank Stars in Game 2 to Even Series

DALLAS, TEXAS — The Edmonton Oilers bounced back with a dominant 3-0 win over the Dallas Stars in Game 2 of the Western Conference Final, evening the series at 1-1.

Stuart Skinner stopped all 25 shots for his third shutout of the playoffs, while Ryan Nugent-Hopkins opened the scoring with a power-play tip-in. Brett Kulak and Connor Brown added second-period goals just over a minute apart, with Brown scoring shortly after taking a skate to the face.

Dallas lost forward Roope Hintz early in the third due to a lower-body injury after a slash from Darnell Nurse. Jake Oettinger made 22 saves in the loss.

The series now shifts to Edmonton for Game 3 on Sunday.
