MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The Dallas Wings dropped their first road game of the season, falling 85-81 to the unbeaten Minnesota Lynx at Target Center. Dallas moves to 0-3, while Minnesota improves to 3-0.
Rookie guard Paige Bueckers recorded 12 points and 10 assists, notching her first career double-double in front of a hometown crowd. She became just the second player in Wings history to post a points-assist double-double as a rookie.
Arike Ogunbowale led Dallas with 21 points and hit five threes, becoming the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 500 career three-pointers—matching Diana Taurasi’s mark in 198 games.
After an early Dallas lead, the Lynx surged with a 16-3 first-quarter run. The Wings stayed close behind strong bench play and improved second-half defense, forcing 19 Minnesota turnovers.
Despite cutting the deficit to two points in the final minute, Dallas couldn’t close the gap. DiJonai Carrington and Myisha Hines-Allen each added 11 points. The Wings outscored Minnesota in the paint and on second chances but were outrebounded 43-27.
