Stars Aim to Take Control in Game 4 vs. Jets

DALLAS, TEXAS — The Dallas Stars continue to show the kind of resilience that’s defined their season. After a dominant 5-2 win in Game 3, they return home with a chance to take a 3-1 series lead over the top-seeded Winnipeg Jets in the second round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Dallas has made a habit of bouncing back. After a shutout loss in Game 2 — their second 4-0 defeat of the playoffs — the Stars responded with strong defensive play and scoring from unexpected contributors, including defensemen Alexander Petrovic and Thomas Harley.

Despite missing key players like Miro Heiskanen and, earlier, Jason Robertson, the Stars have leaned on depth and timely offense. Leading the charge is Mikko Rantanen, who continues a historic postseason run with 18 points in 10 games. He’s been involved in each of Dallas’ last five game-winning goals.

The Jets generated chances in Game 3 but couldn’t match Dallas’ finishing touch. Now they face the pressure of needing a road win to even the series and regain momentum.

Game 4 is set for Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT on ESPN. With home ice and momentum, the Stars have a golden opportunity to take control of the series.
