Steelers Trade George Pickens to Cowboys in Draft Pick Deal

FRISCO, TEXAS — The Pittsburgh Steelers have traded wide receiver George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 fifth-rounder. Dallas also receives a 2027 sixth-round pick in the deal.

Pickens, drafted in 2022, showed promise in Pittsburgh with over 1,200 receiving yards in two seasons. Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy praised his playmaking ability and looks forward to adding him to the offense.

For the Steelers, the move signals a continued rebuild focused on acquiring draft capital. Coach Mike Tomlin said the decision was tough but necessary for the team’s long-term goals.

The trade has sparked mixed reactions from fans, with both teams hoping the deal helps position them for future success.
