Rangers Drop Fourth Straight in 2-1 Loss to Mariners

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Rangers’ early-season skid continued Saturday night with a 2-1 loss to Seattle, their fourth straight defeat and fifth consecutive to the Mariners in 2025.

Texas has now dropped three straight home series, falling to 1-5 on the current homestand with one game remaining. After an 8-2 start, the club is just 8-16 since April 17.

Patrick Corbin delivered his longest outing of the year, allowing one run over 5.2 innings after surrendering a leadoff homer to J.P. Crawford. The veteran lefty settled in to retire 13 of the final 15 batters he faced.

Jonah Heim tied the game in the fourth with an RBI single and notched his 100th career multi-hit game. He’s batting .310 over his last 12 contests and .311 at home this season.

Rookie Dustin Harris drew a career-best two walks and swiped his first MLB base in the fifth inning.

Texas looks to salvage the series in Sunday’s finale.
