ARLINGTON, TEXAS — Texas stayed hot Wednesday night, picking up a 3-1 win over the Angels and clinching another series victory. They’re now 8-1 at Globe Life Field this season, riding an eight-game home win streak — tied for the second-longest since the stadium opened. All three Texas runs came in the second inning, where they matched their total runs from that frame all year. The offense collected 11 hits, their first double-digit showing at home in 2025.
Patrick Corbin looked sharp in his second start, allowing just one run on five hits over 5.1 innings while striking out six. He worked efficiently, facing just one over the minimum through five innings. Rangers starters have now combined for a 2.01 ERA at home this year.
Corey Seager delivered a 3-for-4 night with two RBIs, pushing his average to .288. He’s now reached base in 8 of his last 9 games and leads the club with six multi-hit efforts. Jake Burger also chipped in with three hits, driving in his eighth run — most on the team — while Dustin Harris doubled and scored. All four of Harris’ career hits have gone for extra bases, making him the first Ranger to do that since 2017.
The Angels have now lost seven straight to Texas, tying a franchise-worst streak against the Rangers. They’ve dropped five of their last seven overall. José Soriano gave up 10 hits and three runs in 5.2 innings — all in the second. Luis Rengifo ended Texas’ 16-inning scoreless streak with an RBI infield single, and Taylor Ward doubled to extend his hit streak to four games.
Despite grounding into three double plays, Texas found a way to win — something they’ve done just twice since 2022.
