FC Dallas Trades Nkosi Tafari to LAFC

FRISCO, TEXAS — FC Dallas has traded defender Nkosi Tafari to LAFC for $300,000 in 2026 General Allocation Money (GAM) and a 2026 International Roster Slot. Tafari made 121 appearances for FC Dallas, with a standout 2024 season, scoring three goals and earning two MLS Team of the Matchday honors.

A 2020 MLS SuperDraft pick, Tafari’s breakout 2023 season led to a U.S. Men’s National Team call-up. Now, he joins LAFC, bringing solid defensive skills to the team. The trade provides FC Dallas with financial flexibility to strengthen their squad for the future.
