FRISCO, TEXAS — FC Dallas faced off against Orlando City SC in an intense match at Toyota Stadium on Saturday night.

Despite a tough 3-1 loss, Paul Arriola managed to score Dallas’ only goal of the night. Notably, Arriola also secured his second penalty kick of the season, marking Dallas’ fifth successful penalty kick in 2024. Impressively, the team has converted its last eight penalties, dating back to November 7, 2021.

Arriola’s goal tonight also brought his total to five for the year, putting him on par with Jesús Ferreira as the second-highest scorer on the team. Reflecting on the game, forward Paul Arriola commented, “They came with a good game plan, and we knew they were going to be intense. We were trying to find the balance between building out and playing long, and we just got caught in between.”

In a significant milestone, FC Dallas defender Marco Farfan celebrated his 150th MLS career appearance during the match. Having started 19 out of 22 games this season, Farfan has contributed one goal and one assist to FC Dallas in 2024.
